Our sustainable development commitments

As European leader in trade fair organisation, Comexposium see it as its duty to contribute towards the preservation and the development of the environment, within its company as well as during its events. Our approach has been developed within the ethos of the French Environmental Charter of 28 February 2005 which holds a constitutional value.

Alongside the exhibition parks and the congress centre, we are committed to offering and implementing the necessary means to:

  • Examine, with our service providers, the most responsible solutions in terms of sustainable development.
  • Offer our exhibitors, consistently, solutions which are the most respectful of the environment.
  • Encourage all means of saving energy (particularly in terms of lighting and transportation).
  • Recycle products and waste from our events wherever possible.

With this in mind, Comexposium has already taken a certain number of practical steps towards this goal:

  • Laying 100% plant-based carpeting (corn) on a trial basis.
  • Using e-badges when setting up in order to save making badges.
  • Installing low-energy lighting HQI 50W.
  • Phasing out paper documents.
  • Saving and recycling printer cartridges.
  • Formatting printers for double-sided and black & white use.
  • Encouraging the use of public transport by our employees and visitors.

And, in collaboration with the key players of the Federation of Fairs, Exhibitions and Congresses of France:

  • Implementing carpooling schemes.
  • Putting in place shuttles to run between the stations/airports and the locations of our events.
  • Using a carbon footprint calculator produced by Viparis.
  • Planning the arrival and departure times of trucks during the set-up and tear-down periods in order to avoid peak traffic times.
  • Installing recycling bins at the shows.
